In our modern age, it is more and more difficult to relate to the idea of having to “build”, “repair”, or “repurpose” something with our own hands. For many people, we live in a disposable society and age. We simply go out, “buy” what we want, and then dispose of it after it no longer provides us satisfaction.
This concept of disposability has even been perpetuated into our societal views of appropriate treatment of human life. To Corporations, people are simply replicable “cogs” of production. To the Strong, the ruled are soulless “slaves” of labor. To many Religious Radicles, people are ignorant children to be disciplined into dogma for conformity and control.
We are Evolved though!
As part of wearing that title, we need to practice the precepts of building, repairing, and recycling. We cannot be expected to produce a Master work of art without education, practice, and repetition. “Handcrafting MAN one at a time” from such a diverse quarry of individuals these days, needs mastery of many Skills and Wisdoms.
Nothing can be crafter, however, without the proper set of tools. It is important to remember that it is the “tool” that manifests the Will into Existence. A toolset must be both appropriately equipped for the job, as well as comfortable to the craftsman for use over many years of labor. Each craftsman is given the same set of tools in the beginning. It is over time that each craftsman begins to collect and modify their toolset to better fit their individual statures and techniques.
For many people it is often overwhelming learning to understand and use symbols, rites, and rituals due to their varied interpretations and inter-relationships.

This is the same as how you would learn to change the sparkplugs in a car. To make a car run better we simply use a set of tools to replace old parts with newly, properly adjusted parts. But, instructions must also be provided on how to use the tools or someone who has never changed a sparkplug before could mistake the sparkplug gapping tool for a pocket screwdriver.

Esoteric manuscripts, tomes, grimoires and compendiums are histories “Encyclopedia Britannica’s”. These documents are the lone heir of the ancient mysteries and continue to assist us in deciphering the living Architecture that is around us. Even today there are people who strive to decipher the mysteries left to us within stone monuments like Rosslyn Chapel.
In general a compendium is just a collection or compilation of concise pieces of information on particular subjects. What I find intriguing is the many different forms compendiums have taken over time.

Some believe the Egyptian’s and Mayan’s holy temples with their inscriptions were forms of compendiums. One of my mentors favorite types of compendiums were Tarot decks which became the refuge for many forbidden subjects regarding spiritual evolution, Natural Sciences, and life’s interconnected structure.
Many compendiums were living documents. The information within a single compendium could have been collected and written over many generations of philosophers, alchemists, and/or seekers of light.

To help Seekers begin to relate and harmonize with the symbology and traditions used in their craft we are instructed to begin mastering the tools described within two very specific compendiums. We are directed to The Trivium and Quadrivium. Of these, it is the Quadrivium my mentor wanted to insure the initiates would not overlook. Its compilation was attributed to either Boethius /boʊˈiːθiəs/ or Cassiodorus /Cas-si-o-dor-us/ in the 6th century.
It is amazing to me to see such a vast variety and volume of subject matter covered by this work. I think it could fill a person’s lifetime to master all the disciplines of study that produced these Jewels of knowledge. For those learning the crafter, I believe it provides a bridge to a deeper understanding of our Allegories and Symbolism.

I honestly believe my mentor wanted to reinforce in us the idea that having a solid foundation of the fundamental Esoteric Truths that persist throughout time is critical to internalizing our Spiritual teachings and principals.
Some may view learning old teaching from the 500 A.D.s a lot like learning algebra wondering if it is needed or even relevant in our world today. This is where I would like to harken back to my earlier reference to people still striving to decipher the wisdoms left to use in places like Rosslyn Chapel.

This last summer I was privileged to be able to visit Rosslyn Chapel and see for myself the strange Cubes that ornament the ceiling rib vaults.

For years people could not understand what these 213 Cubes represented.
Believe it or not, the answer was sitting in our compendium all this time.
Using the Resonance Pictures from the Quadrivium we can begin to see the correlations with the different Stones and Resonance Frequencies.
Rosslyn Chapel's mystery are still being revealed, likely with many to remain concealed.

One of the oldest books of Wisdom that contained systematic, cyclical, scientific principals of Nature laws of existence and Spirituality was call "Adam - Raziel the Angel written about 5782 year ago that was the basis of what was rewritten into the Book of Zohar. Written prior to concepts like recursion, calculus, let alone fractal mathematics and yet they are precisely described, in the limits of the age and time they were written, in this unique Compendium, hidden until society was ready for it's secrets to be revealed to our generation.
